Tetsubin are Japanese cast iron pots that have been used for centuries. They have a pouring spout and are used for to boil and pour hot water when making tea. As with all cast iron cookware, there is an additional health benefit of iron is released into the water. They have a wide variety of sizes and shapes which makes them a must-have for collectors. A small tetsubin can hold about .5 litres of water while a large tetsubin can hold around 5 litres. Tetsubin are traditionally heated over a charcoal fire.
